Cheering for Germany

This week we watched more of the world cup. Unfortunately most of the games are very early in the morning (4 am) or while I'm going to work and also the late games I can watch only in parts because I have only one hour lunch break. But I have a very cool boss so the important games like Germany and USA we can watch full. We are also seeing the France games because he's a French citizen now.
Of course I'm cheering mostly for Germany like you can see:

Let's hope the next game will be better.

Friday we went to the theater and saw Karate Kid. I really enjoyed that movie a lot. Jaden Smith, sun of Will Smith, was awesome and looks like his daddy. Also Jackie Chan did a good job.

Next week Gerald will be on a business trip starting Tuesday and he won't be back until Sunday. Not sure how I'll spend my evenings and Saturday. I'll let you know next week.

Soccer and sun

Last weekend we had very nice weather in the bay area. Between 80 and 90 degrees (26 and 32C). Both days started with watching soccer early in the morning. Because everybody was still tired all were very cuddly.



Saturday afternoon we went to the Alameda beach and enjoyed the sun. Gerald worked on his laptop and I read and solved puzzles.



Sunday we stayed at home. I did some laundry and more sun bathing in the garden.

Grosse Neuigkeiten ...

... die ganz klein anfangen.

Na wer versteht versteht die Andeutung?

Richtig, wir sind schwanger. Also besser gesagt ich.
Wir erwarten ein Baby Ende November. Ich bin jetzt in der 15. Woche oder auch im 4. Monaten oder auch im 2. Trimester.

Wir wissen noch nicht, was es wird. Das werden wir hoffentlich in 4 Wochen erfahren, falls das Baby dann mitspielt. Bisher sieht alles sehr gut aus, alles dran was dran sein muss. Und zusaetzlich noch sehr munter und huepft die ganze Zeit rum, was ich aber noch nicht spuere.

Aus diesem Anlass werde ich meinen Blog auch wieder beleben. Im Moment ueberlege ich nur, ob ich auf Englisch wechseln sollte, so dass auch meine amerikanischen Freunde mitlesen koennen. Oder waere deutsch und englisch besser? Lasst mich wissen was ihr denkt.

Ansonsten gibt es nicht viel Neues, wir wohnen immer noch im selben Haus und haben die selben Jobs.
Auf Grund der Schwangerschaft werde ich dieses Jahr nicht nach Deutschland kommen, aber wir planen einen Trip im Januar/Februar inklusive Nachwuchs.
